Musa coccinea problem

Hi, guys. My beloved red ornamental banana has some sort of problem that causes early leaf and stem death. We have a lot of bananas in the area that have black sigatoka pretty badly, but the leaves on the coccinea look different- more little black speckles. I thought it might be fungal since we live in a rainy, humid area, but spraying the leaves with fungicide hasn't seemed to help. Most concerning is the way the stems turn completely brown before they even bloom.
